The total flux, which sums the absolute value of B, and the net flux are plotted versus time for each of the 15 magnetograms with three sigma error bars. The dashed lines mark the times of the C-class flares observed in the X-ray flux.
 
 

   Small net flux, so flux is nearly balanced
