MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Solar activity remains at intermediate levels with low C-level events emanating from several active regions. NOAA 11301 shall remain the target region, which appears to be undergoing sympathetic flaring with a new active region approaching the eastern limb. If possible, also include this new region within your field of view. Further C-level events likely. The position of NOAA 11301 on 21-Sep-2011 at 10:30 UT is: N19E45, ( -646", 231" )

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
The unnumbered active region encroaching over the eastern limb was the source of an M1.8 flare at 12:04 UT on 21-Sep-2011, as well as several C-class flares, and shall be the new target region. The magnetic configuration is uncertain at this time but additional C-class flares are likely, with increased chance of another M-level event. The approximate position of the target region on 22-Sep-2011 at 09:30 UT is: N15E88, ( -922", 241" )

The target region on the eastern limb produced an X1.4 flare beginning at 10:29 UT today. At this time we are implementing a Major Flare Watch campaign. Good chance for an additional >M5 flare within the next 24 hours. The position of target region on 22-Sep-2011 at 11:30 at UT is: N10E88, ( -941", 162" )

The target region, now designated NOAA 11302, has been classified as a beta-gamma region and has a prominent leader spot. The region has continued to produce high C-level events since the X-class flare yesterday. Chance remains for an additional major flare within the next 24 hours. MM#003 Major Flare Watch
Solar activity remains high, with both large E-type/beta-gamma classified sunspot groups (NOAA 11295 and 11302) producing M-class events in the last 24 hours. The MFW target will continue to be NOAA 11302 as it rotates further onto the solar disk, with a chance for a >M5 event if NOAA 11302 undergoes growth or flux emergence. The position of NOAA 11302 on 24-Sep-2011 at 10:00 UT is: N13E53, ( -751", 146" )

MM#003 Major Flare Watch
The Major Flare Watch will continue with target region NOAA 11302. This region was the source of an X1.9 event on 24-Sep-2011 at 09:21 UT and has produced 7 M-class events since. NOAA 11302 has increased in area and spots, and is now classified as an F-type/beta-gamma-delta sunspot group. Further M-class activity is probable, with a chance for an X-class
event. The position of NOAA 11302 on 25-Sep-2011 at 13:00 UT is: N12E40, ( -601", 111" )

Solar activity has begun to decrease with NOAA 11302 now downgraded to a beta-gamma region. The largest event since the last message was an M2.6 flare at 14:37 UT on 26-Sep-2011. We shall continue the Major Flare Watch for a further 24 hours as the region still has the potential to produce another >M5 flare. The position of NOAA 11302 on 27-Sep-2011 at 09:30 UT is: N13E17, ( -273", 107" )

Solar activity has returned to low levels. At this time we are ending the Major Flare Watch campaign. NOAA 11302 retains its large sunspot area but has lost a lot of its complexity. Only C-class flares have been produced in the past 24 hours. NOAA 11302 shall continue to be the target region with further C-level events likely as it crosses the central meridian. The position of NOAA 11302 on 28-Sep-2011 at 09:30 UT is: N13E02, ( -38", 103" )
