MM#009 Default HESSI Target

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

Solar flare activity was very low during the last 24 hour period.
NOAA 1254 was the source of the largest x-ray event since the
last report (B6 at 17:05 UT). 1254 continues in slow decay
phase. The target region will switch the an EFR that is
in rapid growth phase. The EFR is displaying bright H-alpha plage
with a strong arch-type filament system. Its sunspot group is
currently a C-type/beta. An isolated C-class event is possible
in the next 24 hour period if the EFR continues to develop.

The position of the target region on July 17 at 13:45 UT is:
N20W50 (Solar X = 682", Solar Y = 278")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and

for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Bill Marquette (Helio Research)
