MM#003 Major Flare Watch

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,

NOAA 2242 was the source of numerous C-class events and
an M1.2 event at 12/21/07:32 UT. NOAA 2241 (S11W31)
was the source of an M1.0 event at 12/21/12:17 UT. Both
2241 and 2242 are currently decaying but are maintaining
somewhat complex beta-gamma-delta magnetic configurations.
We will continue the Major Flare Watch on target region 2242
for the next 24 hours. 2241 and 2242 continue to have
the potential to produce another M-class event.

The position of NOAA 2242 on December 21 at 16:30 UT is:
S19W54 (Solar X = 747", Solar Y = -301")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and

for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Bill Marquette (Helio Research)
