MM#009 Default Target

Dear Collaborators,

The visible solar disk remains spotless and almost
without any distinct features. The southern polar zone
filament target disappeared since the last message.
Today's target will be a tiny EFR located near sun
center. The EFR is currently displaying a micropore.
Micropores only have a lifetime of 10-20 minutes.
Deep solar minimum conditions will continue during
the next 24 hour period.

The position of the target on July 19 at 13:30 UT is:
S10W01 (Solar X = 016", Solar Y =-241")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and
http://solar.physics.montana.edu/max_millennium/ops/observing.shtml
for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Bill Marquette (Helio Research)
