Dear Collaborators,

Solar activity has been at a very low level for the past 24 hours.
Yesterday's target has been quiet and begun its decay phase.
Today the target will switch to a new emerging flux region in the
northwest quadrant. This region has produced two ~A1.5 X-ray
events and emerged some bipolar sunspots (should be numbered
as NOAA 12772 tomorrow). Additional A-class events are expected
with a chance of B-class events in the next 24 hours.

The approximate position of the target on August 18 at 09:30 UT is:

N17W28 (400", 190")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and

for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory)
