MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2918 (N20W36) has decayed and
produced only a few B-class events since the last message.
The target will switch back to NOAA 2916. 2916 has
decayed slightly but remains the largest region on the
visible disk with its E-type/beta sunspot group. 2916
was the source of a C4.6 event at 12/29/04:28. Another
C-class event likely with a slight chance of an isolated
M-class event in the next 24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2916 on December 29 at 15:00 UT is:
S17W17 (Solar X = 274", Solar Y = -244")
See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and
