Dear Collaborators,

The level of solar activity remains extremely low. The visible solar
disk continues to be devoid of spots, and the target region has now
rotated beyond the South West limb. This plage region was the source
of two A-class events early in the UT day, so remains the target for
a final 24 hours while its higher lying loops rotate out of view. No
change in flare activity is expected in the following 24-hour period.

The approximate position of this region on 5-Jan-2021 at 19:00 UT is:

S18W90 , ( 928", -301" )

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and

for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Shaun Bloomfield (Northumbria University)
