Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity has reached a high level since the last
message. The target region NOAA 13413 has produced
multiple flares, the largest being an M6.0 flare at 08:09 UT
today. Although this region rotates towards the northwest
limb, it retains its beta/D-type magnetic configuration.
13413 shall continue as the target region, but we are
issuing a Major Flare Watch alert at this time before it
completely rotates beyond the west limb. Further low
M-class activities are expected with the increased possibility
of another partially occulted >M5 flare within the next 24 hours.
The position of NOAA 13413 on 3-Sep-2023 at 11:30 UT
N10W91 (936",165")
