How the magnetic field is generated It is believed that the sun's magnetic field is produced by a dynamo located in the or just beneath the convection zone of the sun. In the convective zone, electric currents are produced due to the turbulent motion of the plasma. The electric currents then produce a magnetic field. In turn the magnetic field creates an electric current and the loop continues. |
