Week3: Tracking, stackplots, and graduation

This was a short work week because I went home to see my little brother graduate. He's going to Boise State in the fall. Go Broncos.

On Monday I investigated the tracking when it came to prepping files. Tacking was fine after running the 'read_sdo' procedure (which, I learned later just reads fits files, so this result was expected). So the 'aia_prep' procedure is ruining the tracking by 1.) giving me a blank image with out /cutout option or 2.) ruining the tracking with that option called.

The /cutout keyword uses the first image as a reference image for alignment, but if there is already tracking incorporated from the lmsal cutout service I think it was doubly compensating. Then for this data set, I manually normaled the exposures of the cutout data.

We're waiting on analysis scripts from Anya, a former MSU grad student, to work with the data. So in the meantimes, when I got back into Bozeman, I looked at my new data set with my homemade stack plot procedure in order to better understand the images, stack plot procedure, and how to read the resulting stackplot.

I also began outlining my midterm presentation.
