This plot shows the number of events boxed per year as well as the number of images per year.
The time lengths of all of the observed events. They range between a few minutes and 1.75 hours.
The height on the IRIS raster slit of the observed events. They range from about 10 arcsec high to about 160 arcsec high.
The number of boxes per observation against the date. The size of the bubble corresponds to the average length of an event during that observation. (The smallest bubble represents fewer than 10 minutes and the largest bubble represents over an hour.)
The physical size of events is represented by the height on the slit. There is no correlation between larger events and longer events.
The location of the centers of all of our observations on the disc of the sun. The disc is represented by a yellow circle. The size of the dot corresponds to the average time length of an event during that observation, where the smallest is a few minutes and the largest is over an hour. The color of the dot corresponds to the size of the event as measured by its height on the slit of the image, where green corresponds to a smaller event and blue-green corresponds to a larger event. Five of these events occurred off of the limb of the sun, and we are going to continue by making a movie to determine whether the off-limb events are worth studying.
