I am analyzing images from the Soft X-ray Telescope aboard the Japanese satellite Yohkoh. Yohkoh, originally known as Solar-A, was operated by ISAS (Japan), NASA (United States), and PPARC (United Kingdom). I am viewing images through a thin Al filter and a sandwich AlMg filter, and then using the Filter Ratio Method, along with the CHIANTI atomic database, to learn more about the total irradiance of the sun.
