I worked on the REU webpage for the program today. I also worked on adding the buttons on my blog webpages that let you go one week forward or backward, so it will be easier instead of clicking back all the time. I also read through the pages Dr. Qiu sent us for tomorrow's ethics in science lecture. I can't figure out the errors that I've been running into until I meet Dr. Qiu tomorrow morning after the lecture. Therefore, this afternoon I am going to start putting together a readme.txt similar to the one in Lilly's directory. Hopefully this file will also help me summarize things for the end of the project in two weeks.

I met with Dr. Qiu this morning after the ethics lecture. We worked on the lbk_cleanspec_werr.pro code since it was giving me a lot of errors, but eventually figured it out. I am checking the background values (bg1 and bg2) and making sure the attenuator is not changing during the interval I chose. Then I'll run the plot_clean_spec code again to get best fit lines on top of each subtracted graph for all 15 events.

I worked on getting the YYYYMMDD_rec_final.eps files. There are still a few things to work out, but I'll have them almost done on Monday. Dr. Qiu and I are planning to start analysis Monday morning so that I can submit an abstract to AGU's meeting this winter.
Weekend
On Thursday, Nicole, her younger sister Alexa, Courtney, and I went to the Imagine Dragons Evolve tour. We were able to get really close to the stage! The concert was amazing and definitely worth how much pit tickets cost. At the finale, fireworks went off right over our heads and I had to crane my head back to see everything all at once.
On Saturday I had a quiet day but ended up doing a 6 mile walk around Bozeman. I went through the Bozeman Sculpture park, wandered around Lindley Park before making my way onto Peet's Hill. I then walked to downtown Bozeman for bubble tea before making my way back to Roskie. I cooked dinner for Courtney. Overall, just a calm, relaxing day.
On Sunday Courtney and I floated down the Madison River. Everything I brought got soaked--we definitely should've rented a cooler! But I guess that's part of the fun. Afterwards, Nicole's family invited us all out for dinner at Seven Sushi. I ate so much sushi and had a key lime flavored cupcake for dessert. It was amazing.
