Proton Events: The 10 MeV and 100 MeV proton events which began late on 8 November are still in progress. The 100 MeV proton event peaked at 347 pfu at 09/0350 UTC, declining to a current level of 13 pfu. The 10 MeV proton event peaked at 13,300 pfu at 09/1600 UTC and has slowly declined to a current level of 2962 pfu. C. Geomagnetic Activity Summary: The geomagnetic field was quiet to active. Active conditions occurred during the 09/1500 - 1800 UTC period. A polar cap absorption event was associated with the proton event. Peak absorption was estimated to be 33 dB at 09/1640 UTC. D.
