:Product: 20010729RSGA.txt :Issued: 2001 Jul 29 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Environment Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 210 Issued at 2200Z on 29 Jul 2001 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 28/2100Z to 29/2100Z: Solar activity was low. Several isolated, minor C-class events occurred during the period. The disk and limbs were mostly quiet and stable. Region 9560 (N18E46) was numbered today. Currently, there are only four spotted regions on the disk. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to very low to low. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 28/2100Z to 29/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled conditions. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached moderate levels during the period. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to remain at quiet to unsettled conditions. The greater than 2 MeV flux may reach moderate levels during the first half of the forecast period. III.
