:Product: 0225RSGA.txt :Issued: 2006 Feb 25 2204 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Environment Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 056 Issued at 2200Z on 25 Feb 2006 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 24/2100Z to 25/2100Z: Solar activity was very low. The visible solar disk remains spotless; however, SXI imagery shows a brightening on the east limb at approximately S09. This region was responsible for isolated low level B-class activity. This is likely the return of Region 853 (S09, L=120). IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels with a chance for an isolated C-flare. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 24/2100Z to 25/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was quiet. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels again today. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet. Quiet to unsettled conditions are expected on 28 February. III.
