:Product: 0529RSGA.txt :Issued: 2008 May 29 2203 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 150 Issued at 2200Z on 29 May 2008 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 28/2100Z to 29/2100Z: Solar activity was at very low levels. The visible disk remained spotless. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to remain at very low levels. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 28/2100Z to 29/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was at mostly quiet levels. Solar wind velocities began the summary period at about 550 km/s, but by 29/0200Z had decayed slightly, however still remained elevated between 450 - 500 km/s. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet to unsettled levels, with a chance for isolated active periods, during all three days of the forecast period (30 May - 01 Jun) due to the high speed stream.
