:Product: 0910RSGA.txt :Issued: 2008 Sep 10 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 254 Issued at 2200Z on 10 Sep 2008 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 09/2100Z to 10/2100Z: Solar activity was very low. No flares were observed. The visible disk remained spotless. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 09/2100Z to 10/2100Z: Geomagnetic field activity was at quiet to briefly unsettled levels. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels during the period. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: Geomagnetic field activity is expected to be at quiet levels during days 1 - 2 (11 -12 September). Activity is expected to increase to unsettled levels on day 3 (13 September) as a recurrent coronal hole high-speed stream begins to influence the field. III.
