:Product: 1210RSGA.txt :Issued: 2008 Dec 10 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 345 Issued at 2200Z on 10 Dec 2008 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 09/2100Z to 10/2100Z: Solar activity was very low. A new region was numbered today as Region 1009 (S26W59). IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 09/2100Z to 10/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was at quiet levels. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit was at high levels. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be at quiet levels for 11-12 December. Quiet to unsettled conditions with a chance for isolated active levels are expected for 13 December. The increase in activity is forecast due to a recurrent coronal hole high speed stream. III.
