:Product: 0724RSGA.txt :Issued: 2009 Jul 24 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 205 Issued at 2200Z on 24 Jul 2009 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 23/2100Z to 24/2100Z: Solar activity has been very low. No flares were observed during the past 24 hours. The solar disk remains spotless. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 23/2100Z to 24/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was quiet to unsettled. Solar wind speeds observed from the ACE spacecraft are averaging around 550 km/s with minor IMF Bz fluctuations (+/-2nT). IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be predominately quiet for the next three days (25-27 July). Isolated unsettled conditions are expected for 26 July due to a recurrent high speed stream. III. Event Probabilities 25 Jul-27 Jul Class M 01/01/01 Class X 01/01/01 Proton 01/01/01 PCAF Green IV.
