:Product: 0725RSGA.txt :Issued: 2009 Jul 25 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 206 Issued at 2200Z on 25 Jul 2009 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 24/2100Z to 25/2100Z: Solar activity has been very low. No flares were observed during the past 24 hours. The solar disk is spotless. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 24/2100Z to 25/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was at quiet to unsettled levels. Solar wind speeds observed from the ACE spacecraft have diminished during the past 24 hours. Solar wind velocities now average around 460 km/s. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels today. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly quiet for the next three days (26-28 July). III.
