:Product: 1215RSGA.txt :Issued: 2009 Dec 15 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 349 Issued at 2200Z on 15 Dec 2009 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 14/2100Z to 15/2100Z: Solar activity has been very low. Numerous low-level B-class events occurred, the largest being a B4 at 2339Z from Region 1035 (N30W05). Region 1035 has grown steadily during the past 24 hours and is currently a 20 spot Dai Beta group with an area of approximately 150 millionths. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low to low. There is a chance for an isolated C-class event from Region 1035. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 14/2100Z to 15/2100Z: The geomagnetic field has been quiet. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be quiet for the next three days (16-18 December). III.
