:Product: 0328RSGA.txt :Issued: 2010 Mar 28 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 087 Issued at 2200Z on 28 Mar 2010 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 27/2100Z to 28/2100Z: Solar activity was very low. Region 1057 (N15E04) remained at a Beta magnetic classification while growing in size. Region 1059 (S22E61), now a Hax Alpha spot has increased in size as well. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be low with C-class flares expected and a slight chance for a M-class flare over the next 3 days (29-31 March). IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 27/2100Z to 28/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was quiet with an isolated period of unsettled to active conditions between 03-06Z. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to remain mostly quiet for day 1 (29 March), with brief periods of unsettled to active conditions possible days 2-3 (30-31 March) due to brief periods of Bz south with slightly elevated solar wind speeds.
