:Product: 0627RSGA.txt :Issued: 2010 Jun 27 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 178 Issued at 2200Z on 27 Jun 2010 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 26/2100Z to 27/2100Z: Solar activity has been very low. New Region 1084 (S19E59) was numbered today and produced a B1 x-ray event at 27/0317. No other activity of note was observed. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is expected to be very low. IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 26/2100Z to 27/2100Z: The geomagnetic field has been quiet to unsettled, with an isolated active period at 27/0600-0900Z. Solar wind data observed at the ACE spacecraft indicates the continuation of a high speed solar wind stream, with wind speeds increasing to about 500 km/s at the end of the period. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is expected to be predominately unsettled with isolated active periods for days one thru three (28-30 June). III.
