:Product: 0730RSGA.txt :Issued: 2010 Jul 30 2200 UTC # Prepared jointly by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, NOAA, # Space Weather Prediction Center and the U.S. Air Force. # Joint USAF/NOAA Report of Solar and Geophysical Activity SDF Number 211 Issued at 2200Z on 30 Jul 2010 IA. Analysis of Solar Active Regions and Activity from 29/2100Z to 30/2100Z: Solar activity was very low. Region (1092) produced a few B-class x-ray flares. The largest of these was a B9 at 30/0221Z associated with a limb event CME visible off the northeast limb on LASCO C3 imagery as well as STEREO A and B coronagraphs. IB. Solar Activity Forecast: Solar activity is forecast to be very low to low with a chance for a C-class flare for the next 3 days (31 July-02 August). IIA. Geophysical Activity Summary 29/2100Z to 30/2100Z: The geomagnetic field was mostly quiet with an isolated period of unsettled conditions between 15-18Z. The greater than 2 MeV electron flux at geosynchronous orbit reached high levels during the past 24 hours. IIB. Geophysical Activity Forecast: The geomagnetic field is forecast to be mostly quiet with a few isolated periods of unsettled conditions for the next 3 days (31 July-02 August). III.
