Summary of my Hinode/XRT Data Verification duty week in 14-21 Nov, 2014

1. Creation of the 15-Nov Flare movie.

An ejection was observed, associated with the M3.2 flare from AR12209.

Since it was Hinode's target region, the flare was observed with some pre-flare buffer images. I gave it a try to create a flare movie with the best co-alignment effort using Keiji's database available for the level0 data.

Use of Keiji's co-alignment database

The images are co-aligned so that all the images in a sequence have the same value of index.xcen and index.ycen (the first image was chosen to the reference).
Left images: co-aligned besed only on the the original FITS header information without using the co-alignment DataBase.
Middle images: co-aligned using the co-alignment DB, with default setting (UFSS besed DB).
Right images: co-aligned using the co-alignment DB, with the AIA_CC keyword (AIA image based DB).

2. Optimization of the 9-filter synoptics sequence.

The latest XOB as of 28-Nov-2014 : #1A63

Now the total duration of the XOB is 6:55 sec, enough time left for the pointing change after regular synoptics (10 min).

[UPDATE] Although COT simulates the duration of the XOB#1A63 is 6:55, the actual data shows that it takes 7:20 to run through.

The latest XOB as of 3-Dec-2014 : #1A65. Now the simulated duration is 6:32, hopefully finish within 7 min in the actual sequence.

3. Prepare new flare response. --- The "Wave Quest" version.

SXT flare response for the 3-Mar-2000 M3.8 flare.

New XRT flare response since 22-Nov-2014.
