EFFECT of SAA on DARK SIGNAL Thanks to a table mistake in August 1993 we took many QR darkframe SLD monitor images for a couple of orbits. These are DPE=13 exposures with the shutter closed and the AlMg filter in place. As part of an effort to learn what effects SXT dark signal I came upon these examples of SAA passage. The red cross-hatched regions are the SAAs. The overall dark signal is increased by 5 percent in these 78 ms exposures.
