The Yohkoh spacecraft is a satellite built by scientists in Japan, the
United States, and the United Kingdom. Together these scientists use the
instruments on Yohkoh to look at our Sun. The X-ray images and movies
shown
on these webpages come from one of the instruments on Yohkoh, called the
Soft X-Ray Telescope (or SXT). Here's a picture of the SXT:
