Presentation Title: Impulsive solar flare observations conducted by Parker Solar Probe
Author(s): Samer Alnussirat

Abstract:

Multiple instruments onboard Parker Solar Probe have detected 10 impulsive ion and electron beam events. All events are characterized by non-power law energy spectra and a characteristic peak that descends down in energy and merges with the bulk of the solar wind. The majority of the events are well associated with GOES X-ray flares. These events are important for understanding particle acceleration and transport as well as the energy partitioning between electrons and ions in impulsive solar flares. In this talk, we present an analysis of the first catalog of these events.
