MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 1520 was the source of a major M7.7 event
at 07/19/05:58 UT. 1520 was too close to the limb to ascertain
its magnetic configuration immediately prior to the event
but at the last evaluation it was maintaining a beta-gamma
configuration during decay phase. Due to the
location of the region at the west limb, the x-ray
event was partially occulted. There is a beautiful system of
post flare loop-type prominences currently visible on the
southwest limb. It is unlikely that 1520 will produce another
significant event in the next 24 hour period but it is currently
the most interesting target today.
