The Sun maintains its low-to-moderate activity level. A few new
regions have shown significant growth in sunspot area during the past
24 hours: NOAA 14007 in the Southwest quadrant and NOAA 14009 in
the Northeast quadrant, but they both are not showing strong flare activity
yet. The largest event in the past 24 hours was a C6.4 event at 8:20 UT
today (3/1) from another new region, NOAA 14010 in the Northeast
hemisphere.
Yesterday's target, NOAA 14006 significantly reduced its size (350 to
180 millionths) and produced several low-to-mid C class flares during
its decay. This region maintains the jet activity seen in EUV 304A from
