Dear Collaborators,
Solar activity remains to be low since the last message. The largest
event in the last 24 hours was a C7.8 flare at 5:21 UT today(3/17)
from the target region, NOAA 14028. The second largest event, a C6.5
flare at 22:27 UT yesterday was also from NOAA 14028 from its trailing
(positive) sunspot area. In other area of the solar disk, there are new
flux emergence at NOAA 14025 and 14031, both in the Northwest
quadrant, but not showing significant flare activity yet.
We will continue to observe the trailing area of NOAA 14028 as a
default target for the next 24 hours. Additional C class events are
expected.
The position of the target in NOAA 14028 on 17-March-2025 at
15:30 UT is: S19E25 (-385", -224").
