Dear Collaborators,

Solar activity is at a mid-to-low level. The largest event since
the last message was an M1.8 flare at 01:18 UT today from
yesterday's target region NOAA 14168 (N05W91). 14168
continues to be the most flare-productive region, producing
over ten C-class flares and four additional low M-class flares
during the period. This region has now rotated beyond the
northwest limb, with overlying loops visible above the limb.
In addition, a northeast limb region (N08E89, unnumbered)
and NOAA 14172 (N08W27) have also produced several
mid-to-high C-class flares. 14172 has a beta-gamma configuration
and is experiencing notable flux emergence near its intermediate
portion. Today, the target region will switch to NOAA 14172.
Further C-class activity is expected, with the possibility of low
M-class flares in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 14172 on 12-Aug-2025 at 15:30 UT is:

N08W27 (427",36")
