Current Projects:

Unresolved Coronal Structures: I am forward modeling coronal loops from SXT observed flares, and XRT observed Active Region Transient Brightentings. The model allows many unresolved loops to be contained within the observed pixel, which better matches the observed light curves.

XRT Noise: I am attempting to characterize the sources of uncertainty within the X-Ray Telescope (XRT) on board the HINODE satellite, to create a toolset to be implemented with the prepping of the XRT data which will return the uncertainty in the value of each pixel. Information on the JPEG compression can be found here.

Past Projects:

Heliophysics Knowledge Base: Search through and notate features in the TRACE catalog of data

HyLoop: Look at solar flares taken by SXT and analyze the evolution of the source loop for comparison to predictions of the HyLoop suite written by H Winter.
