Dear Collaborators,

Solar activity continues at a background level. The visible
solar disk is featureless in general. Yesterday's target has
faded away. Today we will watch a new emerged region in
the northeast quadrant, which shows some compact EUV
brightenings. No noteworthy activities are expected in the
next 24 hour period.

The approximate position of the target on January 18 at 20:30 UT is:
N17E40 (-560”, 300")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and

for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Ying Li (Purple Mountain Observatory)
