MM#009 Default Target
Dear Collaborators,
The target region is now numbered NOAA 2853. 2853
was the source of numerous minor A- and B-class events
since the last message. It also produced an isolated
C1.3 event at 08/08/00:04 UT. The activity was associated
with an active/eruptive filament located along the region's
main magnetic inversion line and a tiny negative polarity spot
that emerged yesterday within the positive polarity leading
plage. There are a few tiny pores currently visible in both
leading and trailing areas of the region. B-class activity
likely with another C-class event possible in the next
24 hour period.
The position of NOAA 2853 on August 09 at 14:00 UT is:
N25E55 (Solar X = -704", Solar Y = 344")
