MM#009 Default Target

Dear Collaborators,

Solar activity continues at low levels. Yesterday’s target
(NOAA 13467) did not produce any flares in the period,
while NOAA 13468 produced a single flare that was the
largest magnitude (a C1.5 flare at 06:58 UT today). This
region retains its alpha/H-type magnetic configuration,
so it becomes the new target. B-class activities are expected
with low C-class flares probable in the next 24 hours.

The position of NOAA 13468 on 23-Oct-2023 at 07:30 UT is:

S09W14 (231", -235")

See http://www.SolarMonitor.org for images and

for a description of the current Max Millennium Observing Plan.

Regards,

Qiao Li (Purple Mountain Observatory)
