Courtney Peck

I am currently a rising senior studying physics at Montana State University. I am originally from Eastern Montana, but have lived in Bozeman for the past three years.

I became interested in solar physics within the past year after studying electricity and magnetism and particle physics and participating in a high-altitude ballooning program. During the program, I monitored cosmic ray flux as seen on the balloon. The cosmic ray flux varies greatly with the solar magnetic field, so I began learning about the solar magnetic field and solar cycle.

After I receive my undergraduate degree in physics, I plan to attend graduate school to pursue my PhD.
