Students study how minerals separate in a magma ocean and how this process has formed the Moon as we know it.
The different moon landing sites are examined, as well as their different geological features.
Examine the way meteorites create craters when they crash into a rocky planet. This is the same experiment as the meteor simulation video featured in the Powerpoint presentation.
Students make predictions about lunar rocks by first collecting, describing, and classifying neighborhood rocks.
