These two weeks, I spent a good amount of time figuring out the exact timing and duration of the early bursts in relation to the bigger flare. I found the duration by full-width-half-max method and the peak reconnection rates as well as the peak AIA 1600 Angstrom intensities relative to the intensity of the flare. For the October 1, 2011 event, there were three early bursts to measure, for the June 21, 2011 event, there was only one, and for the August 7, 2010 event there wasn't an early burst.
