What I Worked on This Week

In week one I toured the campus, met my fellow research group members, met with Dr. Shaw, and Erica and attended the python and Matlab workshops on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I used the integrating sphere and monochromator to make preliminary RSR curves and learned how the process of imaging the moon for next week! We went to a lecture by Dr. Shaw, hiked the M trail, and went to Yellowstone!

For my project, I read the past ORSL project on the correlation between phase angle and DoLP in strictly Broadband. here.

Below is a DoLP plot that I plan to model my DoLP after. This is from Erica and Dr. Shaw's paper on moon polarization imaging in strictly broadband!

This is a photo of the plots that I made of the wavelenghts responses from my filters... (I am editing this a couple weeks later to say that my RSR plots will not be finished until later because the signal from the monochromator needed to be retuned and we found that the plots we made originally were not correct)
