Your website is beautiful. A friend of mine and I were looking to find why the winter sun is brighter ( at least to us) than the summer sun. I have yet to find the answer, but I thought I would let you know your sight is the easiest sight about the su n to understand and navigate:-)

I thought your site was out of this world. This was the only site that I could play the Windows Player. I've not seen the sun in this perspective. I thought this was the best site on the net so far. I read some of the negative comments about sound and all the rest of the fancy stuff people want. Keep it the way it is. Alot of people are lazy and don't want to read or just the simple things in life. Thanks for the great show and the information was the best.

really awesome site. I started learning about the sun in astronomy class and at first I thought...sorry about this.. but at first I thought Who cares? It's so beautiful and so powerful and so much to think about. It's awesomely amazing Your site really helps me to grasp some of the difficult aspects. I will never think of the sun in the same way again. Now when I look at it I think about the corona. the solar wind.. the terrific power and even that it's not really a big star at all. It's such fun food for the imagination. Love your site. and the color of the sun is so beautiful. thanks for putting the movies and images on-line.

I Love this web site with all my heart i hope you keep up the good work. I know, it must hurt your eyes to watch the sun all day but i really appricate what you guys do for us!! But you need to have more films included!! my brain can only comprehend fi lms, and when you have me reading the whole time i get confused on what to do. I know it must be the whole looking at the sun thing but try and do better. Thanks Love: Alex Johnson!!!!!!

I really appreciate what you've done here. While my homes for sale in Tampa, I've been spending a lot of time searching for Tampa real estate on the internet. Believe it or not I found this site by searching for "florida real estate". Imagine that! Wha t does a Tampa realtor have to do with education? Go figure. I guess those Tampa web design people need to learn a few things yet. I'm looking for a new home in Florida and I was hoping to find something in Fish Hawk Ranch but instead I found a house in Riverview Florida. All Florida real estate seems to be so expensive and there's so many virtual tours it will make your head spin. The internet is a great tool for communicating with others. Anyway. Enough rambling about me. Good work guys! Great site!

The pictures of the sun are very clear and easy to see what is going on. It's wierd to think of the sun as a star like any other star in the universe. I can't believe that we are lucky enough to be the perfect distance away from the sun to sustain all life on Earth. Pretty Amazing!

I'm fifth grader and this is how I find this website. First I watched the news and I saw them talking about the sun expanding and it swallowed Mercury and vaporised it. I started to feel like I wanted to know more about the sun. So I went to the internet and go to ajkids.com and ask them where can I find more information about the sun and they answered my questions. I picked one of their answers and that's how I found this website. It seems very intresting but there is only one problem, I just want more videos on it so can you put more videos on this website?

You should not use theta for the latitude angle shown in the picture of the sundial and then use L for the latitude in the equation to calculate the angle in hour line template which you misleadingly call theta. Hope you make this correction to your otherwise very useful site.

It has really been twenty-three years or so since I've been truly able to sit down and contemplate the path of the shadow of the sun........, in terms of GEOREF time. I am trying awfully hard to retire. But it is so difficult to be a slave to anyone [is'nt it!]. When I am working [anyplace] I am too well aware of the inherent dangers of wearing a watch, ring, necklace, tie, etc. And here, on this 2.5 acres, although I can judge just by looking up [and knowing which way is north] what time it is. I will feel better, if you ask me, being able to blurt out the minutes. What you provide is just dandy, ducky, great, fantabulous [you pluck in a few descriptors]. Thank you for the data. It is appreciated. George Edward Edward Reder, II., Nuclear Weapons Technician, Guided Missile Electronics Specialist. [and other things]

Thanks for the great instructions. I am a Media specialist in an elementary school. I love to teach the kids stuff like this and really get them thinking and learning about their world and how it works. Our theme this year is "Celebrate" and we have been doing all kinds of holidays around the world. This will go great as we talk about the 'mystery holiday' of Easter and why it moves instead of staying on the same day each year. Thanks again. Susan

The Public Observatory "Philippus Lansbergen" in Middelburg will give a lot of attention to the SUN-EARTH-DAY on April 27. Therefor we can use all kinds of information about our Sun. All the information we have untill now is about SOHO. Yohkoh is also very important and therefor I enjoyed this site very much. Very educational and very usefull. We expect quite a few people on our Sun-Earth-Day and it's great that there's so much good information available. Thanks for that.
