1. Purposes of the stray light measurement in 2018, phase 4 .

It was reported by T. Jibben that another stray light increase observed in the late May, 2018. The G-band intensity monitor shows a jump appeared after the CCD bakdout of 26-29 May. Since we don't take data during the bakeout, we can't specify the timing any further but we will assume it on 29-May-2018 for the convenience of reference.

According to the analysis by K. Yoshimura, the G-band stray light intensity was increased by 1.33 times. The purpose of this page is to measure the stray light level on the thin X-ray filters in this new phase (phase 4) since 29-May-2018.

4. Stray light images 2018, at a glance.

The stray light intensity near disk center at the DC pointing increased to around 14 DN/sec, while it was around 11 DN/sec before 29-May-2018. This means roughly 30% increase.

The stray light component was increased to ~4 DN/sec, from ~2.5 DN/sec. The anomaly (significant increase of visible light component) noticed last year near West-limb pointing was reproduced.
