Identifying Loops for Case 1

I continued work on case 1 (Jan. 20th, 2011) of the emerging active region. I ran into some problems with running the data through Marika's four analysis programs (first one creates a data cube, second one cuts this data for a given slit location, the third one analyzes the slit for interconnecting loops based on intensity, and the fourth program allows the user to select loops that appear to be interconnecting loops). The problems boiled down to difficulty in giving the second program the stackplot location. Arcsecond to pixel conversion and built in rotation in createsp was making the location I fed in go off the data array bounds by the 699 time step, leaving over 1000 frames out. I ended up requesting two more data sets from the Lockheed Martin website in order to account for rotation during the 48 hour period. Additionally, there was a built in buffer in the fourth program when graphing the detected slits that I had to remove as the program was detecting loops to close to the boundary of the data set.

Emerging active region 1149 below existing active region 1147 in 211 angstrom band over 47 hours.
Coronal loops identified based on intensity.
