HXR/H-alpha relationship in flares View all project descriptions by submitter

Astrid Veronig Submitted: 14-Nov-2002 12:53

Recently, at Kanzelhoehe Solar Observatory (Austria) full-disk H-alpha observations are regularly performed with a 5 sec time cadence as ground based support to RHESSI (data available upon request). This enables us in particulary to catch the flare start with high temporal resolution. We study the relationship between spatially resolved HXR and H-alpha emission during the impulsive and gradual flare phase, as well as the preflare phase.

Participants: W. Otruba, W. Poetzi, A. Veronig, B. Vrsnak, A. Hanslmeier
