Wave energy transport in the impulsive phase View all project descriptions by submitter

Hugh Hudson Submitted: 06-Feb-2008 09:15

An alternative to the electron beams of the thick-target model may be found in energy transport via Alfven waves. This concept appears to solve several problems, but it poses various theoretical and observational problems. For example, we would like to understand RHESSI footpoint dynamics in the context of high-resolution Hinode observations of the vector magnetic field.
