Hard X-Ray Polarimetry of Solar Flares View all project descriptions by submitter

Mark McConnell Submitted: 26-Sep-2002 05:46

We are using RHESSI data to study hard X-ray polarization, looking for patterns of scattering from the Be scattering block that are consistent with linear polarization. Simulations show that RHESSI has good polarization sensitivity in the 20-100 keV energy band.

Participants: Smith, D.M., Emslie, A.G., Hurford, G., Lin, R.P., Ryan, J.M.
