Dear Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is low. Target region NOAA 13583 has grown slightly in sunspot area since the last message and is now classified as a beta/F-type sunspot group. NOAA 13583 produced four C-class flares in the period, while a region currently behind the North East limb produced five C-class flares, and the largest magnitude flare was from NOAA 13584 (a beta/C-type sunspot group) in the form of a C7.9 flare on 17-Feb-2024 at 18:22 UT. The target stays on NOAA 13583 due to its higher flaring rate, but the North East limb will be monitored. Additional high C-class flares are probable in the next 24 hours, with a small chance for an M-class flare.
The position of NOAA 13583 on 18-Feb-2024 at 16:30 UT is:
N09W60 , ( 831" , 209" )
