MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
NOAA 2149 continues to slowly decay but is maintaining
mixed polarities and bright H-alpha plage. 2149 is producing
C-class events. The largest since the last message was a
long-duration C7.1 at 08/31/11:00 UT. NOAA 2152, S17E21,
has grown significantly in the past few days and was also
the source of C-class events in the past 24 hours. Both
target region 2149 and 2152 have the potential to produce
C-class events with a slight chance of an isolated M-class
in the next 24 hour period.

NOAA 2149 slowly added new small spots in the past
24 hours. Its magnetic classification is currently
beta-gamma. 2149 was the source of C-class events
since the last message. Additional C-class activity probable
in the next 24 hour period.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
Target region NOAA 2146 is now located just beyond the
northwestern limb. 2146 was the source of a limb occulted
C4.3 event at 08/29/15:52. This event was associated with
a flare spray and an eruptive prominence. 2146 has completed
west limb passage. The new target region will be NOAA 2149.
2149 has an EFR located adjacent (south) of the large round
leader sunspot. C-class events possible in the next 24 hours.

magnetically complex beta-delta configuration.
C-class activity probable with the chance of an isolated
M-class event before 2146 completes west limb passage.

Target region NOAA 2146 has lost penumbral area but is
retaining its beta-delta magnetic configuration. C-class
events probable and an isolated M-class event possible
with a slight chance of an event =/>M5 in the next 24 hour period.

NOAA 2146 is mostly unchanged maintaining a magnetically
complex D-type/beta-delta sunspot group. 2146 was the
source of a few C-class events and the M3.9 event at
08/25/20:20 UT. C-class events certain with a good chance
of another M-class event. There is also a chance of an
event =/>M5 if 2146 develops additional magnetic complexity
in the next 24 hours.

MM#009 Default HESSI Target
Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The Major Flare Watch target (NOAA 2151, S07E49) has
been quiescent since the major M5.9 event at 08/24/12:17 UT.
2151 is the decayed return of flare-active old NOAA 2130.
2151 currently has a simple C-type/beta sunspot group.
It appears that the M5.9 event was the last large flare from this
region. The new target will be NOAA 2146. 2146 has displayed
rapid flux emergence in the past 48 hours. The new flux is located
adjacent (south) to the old large leader sunspot creating an
interesting D-type/beta-delta magnetic configuration.
2146 was the source of C-class activity in the past 24 hours
and the M2.0 event at 08/25/15:11 UT. C-class events probable
with the chance of another M-class event in the next 24-48 hours.
The position of NOAA 2146 on August 25 at 11:30 UT is:

Dear RHESSI Collaborators,
The level of solar activity is moderate-to-high. NOAA 12149 has
shown signs of decay over the past 24 hours after decreasing in
area. This region is classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot
group and has produced several C-class flares since yesterday's
message, including a C5.5 flare on 24-Aug-2014 at 04:53 UT. NOAA
12151 has been numbered after rotating over the South East limb
and has already been the source of an M5.9 flare (on 24-Aug-2014
at 12:00 UT). This appears to be the return of the active region
previously designated as 12130 that displayed a beta-gamma-delta
classification on the last disk transit and produced two M-class
flares. We are now initiating a MM#003 Major Flare Watch because
12151 produced a flare above the M5 level. More C-class activity
is expected over the next 24 hour period, with a chance for more
flaring above the M5 level.

The level of solar activity is low-to-moderate. NOAA 12149 has
grown in spot area and number of spots with rotating onto the
visible disk. With now being further from the limb, this region
is accurately classified as a beta-gamma/E-type sunspot group.
12149 has continued to produce flares since yesterday's message,
including a C3.5 flare on 23-Aug-2014 at 01:49 UT. More C-class
activity is expected over the next 24 hours, with a good chance
for another M-class flare.

Solar activity is at a moderate level. Yesterday's target region
has been designated as NOAA 12149. Since yesterday's message this
region has continued to produce many C-class flares and an M1.2
flare (on 22-Aug-2014 at 06:18 UT). NOAA 12149 is classified as a
beta/C-type sunspot group, but is still too close to the limb to
be accurately determined. More C-class activity is expected over
the next 24 hours, with a good chance for another M-class flare.
